  2. Well, from my own experience, I can tell you that the only way to know you have bed bugs is to be bitten. Otherwise, you won’t even know they are there. These insects are so mean! They hide and then come out during the night, so you have no idea they liven in your home. These are like little vampires. I have been bitten several times. After the third time, I decided to finally address the problem, so I called the cleaning professionals. They came, I paid, and the problem was sold. Of course, I was so obsessed and worried about bed bugs coming back again, so I kept cleaning the home like a lunatic! However, I am safe now! I live alone, no pets or kids, so I started using some chemicals for bed bug prevention. I have to say that I am quite satisfied now. If you don’t know whether you have bed bugs, pay more attention to your furniture. If it’s old, you have more chances to get bed bugs. They usually go for old beds and armchairs, but you can also have them in old closets and even carpets! Do not keep your old furniture! If you have some old pieces of furniture you do want to keep, have them repaired and treated for pest!

  4. I agree with Joanna. The only possible way to be certain you have bed bugs is to get bitten! Luckily, bed bug bites are not dangerous, even thought they are very unpleasant. I have already been bitten, so I know how these bites can affect your skin. My skin is sensitive, I am allergic to all kinds of skin care products, so the bites have given me nasty rashes all over my face. I had one on my chest, too. I did not know where the rashes came from, so I thought it had something to do with my hypersensitivity to almost everything . I have been trying to remember the foods I have been eating during that time, but none of these foods has ever caused any problem whatsoever. I waited for two days, hoping that the rashes would go away, but they did not. Then I decided to visit my dermatologist and see what the problem is. He told me that those bites had come from bed bugs. I also got some good advice on how to treat the rashes. He told me that he had many patients with this problem, and I was surprised because I didn’t think that bed bugs were very common. Now I know that they are more common than most of us thinks! I treated my apartment (for the first time in my life, I was happy about my apartment being so small). I did not have to pay too much because I did not have too much furniture, and the place wasn’t big. Now I just vacuum regularly and don’t have to worry anymore!
